Dear Readers,
Let me start off by wishing all of you a very happy new year. I trust you entered it well and that the subsequent hangovers for some of you by now have subsided and that your wallets are not too empty from buying gifts (for those who celebrate Christmas).
A new year is also the start of some new promises. For example, I promised myself not to eat chocolate for one month. After forty-eight hours, I was reaching for another morsel.
Nevertheless, a new year is a fresh start. We aim to provide you with interesting insights, interviews and solid market information every Thursday.
This year we speak to:
Shipowners
Shipping agents
Shipping professionals
Surveyors
Heavylift Service Providers
We will attend the following events in 2017:
Breakbulk Asia in Shanghai in March
Breakbulk Europe in Antwerp in April
TransRussia in Moscow preceding breakbulk Antwerp
CLC Projects Network conference in Ho Chi Minh City 11th-13th May.
Although we will not be having a formal booth at the expos, we will be reachable normally at the Höegh Autoliners booth at breakbulk Shanghai & Antwerp. At the TransRussia and CLC Projects events, we will be available by appointment only. We’ll be only too happy to interview and formally introduce those who have something to add to the shipping industry.
We accept only four ads per week and interviews are not dependent on ad placement. As you all know, the entire journalism industry has been under siege in recent years. Investigative journalism is scarce and the majority of coverage serves as instant gratification, clickbait and sensationalism. We aim to be different.
In this issue:
Project Cargo can also be carried by air, especially for time sensitive goods. This week we have a Q&A with Air Charter Service (HK) Ltd., a strong cargo broker that is part of the London based group by the same name. Also in this issue we have industry news for those of you who are active in sales. The news can be used to wake up your overseas partners and start chasing the business.
Wishing you once more a very happy 2017 and a good start!
Until next week, I remain,
Yours sincerely,
Bo H. Drewsen
